Angela Harmon

Senior Editor/Senior Project Manager

Angela Harmon is a senior editor/senior project manager at Northeast Editing, Inc. with fifteen years’ experience writing and editing. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in English from Pennsylvania State University. During her college career, she completed internships at three different newspapers to prepare for a job in the news industry. After college, Angela spent four years as a copy editor/page designer in the news department of the Citizens’ Voice, editing articles and designing news pages. She then spent two years as a specialty page coordinator at R.H. Donnelley/DEX, gaining experience in advertising, graphic design, and other areas.

Angela joined Northeast Editing in 2009, working on a variety of projects before finding her niche writing and editing several library-reference projects. Her favorite, however, is writing and editing biographies. She also managed the page design and layout of digital residency books for Walden University. A former pastry school student, Angela enjoyed working on Culinary Careers For Dummies (Wiley, 2011).

“I enjoy being very busy and bouncing between editing and writing several different projects,” said Angela. “It makes for an interesting workday.”

Away from work, Angela can be found in the kitchen testing new cupcake recipes or at the gym working off those calories. In her spare time, she enjoys reading biographies and cooking blogs, vacationing in Cape May, New Jersey, and spending time with her husband and two spoiled dogs, Owen and Manny.
